Now whilst we don’t want to get wrapped up in a whole raft of legalise, it does makes sense to lay our stall out beforehand in the form of a set of terms and conditions which should you join us as a member, you’ll be subject to.

Common sense stuff really which is there to protect both our members and us!

Code of Practice and Membership Terms

1. General

a. proNet Business Networking is a trading style of iNet Engineers Ltd and Solutions Accountancy and Bookkeeping Ltd with the correspondance address of The Grid, Park Lane Centre, Park Lane, Bradford, West Yorkshire, BD5 0LN

b. These terms and conditions form the contract between proNet Business Networking hereafter referred to as “proNet” and the subscribing business representative thereafter called the “member”.

c. These terms prevail over any inconsistent terms or conditions contained, or referred to, in the member’s purchase order, confirmation of order, terms and conditions or other document supplied by the member, or implied by law, trade custom, practice or course of dealing.

d. These terms supersede any prior verbal agreements. Any deviation from these terms must be agreed in writing on the membership application form.

e. proNet is not responsible for the performance of third party services that are introduced to a member by other members or their associates.

2. Duties

a. By accepting this Code of Practice and Membership Terms the member agrees that they will:

i. Conduct business with other members in an honest and ethical manner.

ii. Actively participate in the growth and promotion of the group they are a member of.

iii. Act professionally at all times to preserve the intellectual property of proNet and of their fellow members.

iv. Not harvest the personal data of proNet members for the purposes of resale or bulk direct marketing without prior consent.

v. Not actively promote those services that they may offer which fall outside their assigned business category.

3. Service Limitations

a. proNet does not guarantee, represent or warrant that a particular member will achieve any particular level of business success as a result of their membership.

b. proNet is not responsible for any out-of-pocket or direct expenses incurred by the member as a result of their attendance at meetings.

c. proNet does not provide any warranty as to the performance of a particular meeting venue.

4. Membership

a. Membership of a proNet group is subject to final approval by the group’s leadership team following;

i. submission of a completed membership application form

ii. payment of the appropriate membership fee by UK cheque.

b. Membership of proNet is on an individual basis and not a corporate one. Representatives from the same organisation as another existing member, may apply for membership in their own right. Such an application is subject to the approval of the group’s leadership team and the payment of the appropriate membership fee.

c. Memberships may not be transferred to, or shared amongst, several representatives from the same organisation without payment of the appropriate membership fee for each representative.

d. Memberships continue indefinitely unless;

i. the member provides 30 days written notice of termination of their membership; or

ii. their membership is terminated due to a violation of these terms.

e. Membership fees must be paid upon demand and at least 30 days before the expiration of a membership period.

i. proNet reserves the right to restrict access to a group and revoke a Member’s membership for non-payment of membership fees.

ii. Returned cheques through lack of funds or similar, will incur an administration fee of £40.

f. Membership fees are non-refundable unless proNet voluntarily suspends or terminates a particular group for 4 weeks or more. In which case the member shall receive a refund of their membership fees equivalent to the remaining portion of their membership period, less 4 weeks.

g. At its sole discretion, the leadership team of a group may choose to suspend or terminate a membership through continued non-attendance or lack of participation within a group.

5. Non Solicitation of Members

a. Members agree that during their membership term they shall not;

i. commence operating as a competing business breakfast networking organisation within a 30 mile radius of a proNet group.

ii. directly or indirectly canvas members of proNet groups with a view to enticing them to leave proNet in order to join a competing business networking organisation.

6. General

a. proNet reserves the right to amend these terms without prior warning and at its discretion.

proNet’s Privacy Policy

proNet Business Networking (“proNet”) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information and does not sell, rent, or trade personal information you provide to us through this website or any information you may give us as a result of attending our business networking events.

“Personal Information” is information that would allow someone to identify or contact you, including, for example; your full name, address, telephone number or e-mail address.

By accessing this website, you consent to the collection, usage, and storage of your personal information by us in the manner described below. If you have questions regarding this Privacy Policy, please contact us .

We reserve the right to amend this policy at any time by posting the amended version on our website. We encourage you to learn as much as you can about your privacy on the Internet.

How Personal Information is Collected and Used

Information is collected in two ways; directly and indirectly.

We directly collect Personal Information from you when you submit an online form through our website or send an e-mail to us requesting information or assistance.

Due to the open nature of the Internet, proNet Business Networking requests that no unsolicited proprietary or other confidential information be sent to it through the website.

proNet Business Networking does not accept unauthorised idea submissions outside of established business relationships. Any such information supplied through the website will be deemed to be non confidential.

Persons who supply us with their e-mail addresses or any other personal contact information online may receive e-mail or telephone contact from us for assistance such as information about our events and business networking meetings. The names and email addresses of persons who submit their details to us either through this website or during the course of our meetings, may be added to our own email subscriber list for the exclusive purposes of marketing proNet’s events.

proNet Business Networking will not sell, rent, or trade personal information you submit to any third party. For example, we do not sell your e-mail address or your name and personal demographic information to mass marketers or advertisers.

Information is collected indirectly through the technology common to all websites. When you enter a URL, your browser requests a page from our server. Persons attending our events and meetings may be filmed or photographed as part of proNet‘s promotional activities.

Attendance at a proNet Business Networking event acknowledges your acceptance and agreement to this and licenses us to use your image for the purposes of marketing proNet events across printed and electronic media which includes, but is not limited to the following; magazine and newspaper adverts and news releases, email and social networking websites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube in addition to this website.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection

proNet Business Networking is committed to protecting children’s privacy online.

Our website is not intentionally designed for or directed at children. In accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA) , proNet Business Networking will not intentionally collect or maintain information about anyone under 13 years of age.
