Business Networking in the Spen Valley
proNet Spen Valley Networking Meetings
Our proNet Spen Valley Group meets at the Healds Hall Hotel, Liversedge on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday or every month.
Proceedings begin at 7.15am with open networking and finish at at 9.15am. Breakfast is served at 7.30 am. The full meeting agenda is detailed further down this page.
Visiting business people are welcome to attend and pay a meeting fee of £12 cash on the door which includes a full breakfast.
Overview
This group is an established and vibrant group that typically has 20 people attending each meeting. The group is chaired by Paul Scott from YBG LLP who is assisted by Kate Leadbeater from Kirkwood Hospice who is the group’s Social Secretary and Brenda Hodgson from Blackwood Communications who is our Press and Publicity Secretary.

The Meeting Agenda
For each proNet business networking meeting, the agenda looks like this:

- Breakfast
- 7:45 – Meeting Start
- Introductions / Sharing of Business Cards
- Your business profile (60 seconds) with thanks for any business passed.
- Knowledge Transfer Slot (20 mins)
- 1st Meeting of the month (Session 1)
Learning Slot- about your fellow members, how their products and services can help you and your contacts.

Followed by 10 minute 1-2-1 session with a fellow member.

Support slot – focussed on helping members develop their businesses covering – Finance, Sales, Marketing, HR, Networking …(either delivered by a member or an external speaker depending on the topic)

What to Expect
You’ll be networking with up to 25 business people so don’t forget to bring lots of business cards. You may also feel it beneficial to bring some of your company literature which is fine. After breakfast we ask both our members and guests to delivery a short verbal presentation to others round the table about the sort of business opportunities and contacts they want to make. Generally people stand up to do this, but it’s okay to sit if you feel more comfortable. Other than that, simply go with the flow and enjoy the meeting.
